keitsukishima: (ugh why me)
My brother emailed to remind me about the upcoming release of Star Ocean 5. Like I don't have gaming sites on a feed. Anyway, he put it on pre-order for me since I'll probably be busy blah blah blah. I wish he'd stop trying to figure out my schedule. It's not like I'll be able to play it the day it comes out since he pre-ordered at home instead of here. Idiot.

So we're in the finals. Oh, goodie. I guess that extra practice has paid off. The only downside is that we're not facing Short Stack. I'd have loved to see the frustrated look on his face after blocking his spikes.
keitsukishima: (sarcastic chuckle)
Attention Sakura residents. It has come to my attention that one of our very own is the ghost/demon/specter haunting our dorms.

Kuroo-senpai wanted me to break a salt circle to give him entrance. If he wasn't a demon, he could cross over a salt circle with no trouble. The fact that he had to ask means he must be invited in otherwise he can't walk through the door.

Yes, that's right. Kuroo-senpai is the ghost/demon/specter haunting us all.

He is coming for your souls.

You've been warned. You're welcome.

Zaizen, how do you feel about exorcism?
keitsukishima: (arara)
Three papers and two exams later I'm done. To celebrate, I bought some new music and slept in all of Saturday. Spent Sunday practicing serves and went for a run.

Oh yeah, Sakura is totally haunted. Saw a ghost last night after I got back from the gym. Can I get a refund if it becomes unsafe?

(ooc: he's just trying to get a rise out of those who think there really is something going on in sakura XD)
keitsukishima: (meh i guess)
We lost to Togei. I guess that sucks, but I blocked a lot of spikes from the pipsqueak still not enough to win though, so I'm pleased. In the end, we placed third. Not great by any stretch of the imagination, but better than not qualifying for the next tournament. It's like this weird saying my brother sent me after I told him we got third:

First is worst, second is best, third is the one with the treasure chest.

Clearly, my brother is an idiot.

I'm glad the insanity that was the winter festival was over. It'll be too soon if I see an overly decorated cupcake. I think I would have preferred working in the café. It probably would have been quieter.

That said, I wish I hadn't worked yesterday. So many boxes of homemade chocolate and girls confessing to guys and some of my coworkers. For the record, I'm a barista, not a love advice columnist, so please don't ask me for tips on how to get a guy to like you because 1) I don't know, 2) I don't care, and 3) go away.

Zaizen, backstage passes. Yay or nay?

Glay is coming to Toyama next month. I figured you would want to go, Zaizen, so I already got us tickets. You're welcome.

My mom is already making plans for me to visit over Golden Week. I told her it was too early for that, but she's insisting since they want to go to Fukuoka. There's always the option to meet them, but I have a feeling she wants to come here first to make sure everything is fine. It's really annoying.

To those in Sakura who have been assaulted by the horrible noises coming out of Kuroo-senpai's mouth that he's calling singing, please remember to file noise complaints against him.

I got back from Miyagi a week ago, but I've spent the time reading ahead on my studies.

The trip home was last minute; my mom wanted me home for New Year's and I didn't have any reason to refuse. My brother and I spent some of the time playing volleyball with his new team. I got in a lot of serve practice and I saw Yamaguchi a couple of times which was good.

My dad sent me this article about a survey being done in Israel to find Anaharath. I'm going to follow it to see if they're successful. I think it would be interesting if they were, but archaeology can be fickle. Why am I going into this field again?

Ah, so we face Nishinoya-senpai and Ennoshita-senpai next. How troublesome. He's totally going to take this the wrong way... At least, Kuroo-senpai is on my team, so I think we have a good chance at winning. You might want to wear your lightning bolt underwear, Nishinoya-senpai. It might be the only part of rolling thunder you get.

My brother wants to come if we get to the finals. I'd really prefer if he didn't. He'll probably show up anyway. Then Kuroo-senpai will talk his ear off and they'll probably get along. My life will be ruined if that happens.

Of all the people to get roomed with...

I guess it's a good thing I completely filled my iPod and brought extra chargers and headphone cords just in case one of them decides to die. I guess it will be kind of nice to get away from the café for a few days even if it's going to be spend running drills and playing a lot of practice matches.

Happy belated birthday, senpai.

I guess you're not all that bad.

The next time you come into the café, you can have a treat/coffee/whatever on the house from me.

Another list, this time courtesy of List 25, about archaeology. You're welcome. Nos 13 and 6 are my favorite. #12 is pretty cool.

On the plus side, at least the holiday music hasn't started yet, even if the seasonal beverages have.

  1. The GazettE concert was okay. I managed to avoid getting my eyes gouged out by pointy hair.
  2. Dinner left much to be desired, but dessert was okay.
  3. Annoyed that we lost most of our practice matches. Volleyball.
  4. I’m only making a list to annoy Zaizen.
  5. I hope it’s working.
  6. Tachibana-senpai, please stay away from the cafe until you’re not dying. Plzkthx.
  7. At this point, I’d even take Bokuto-senpai or Kuroo-senpai being on this team. I think I might need new volleyball shoes.
  8. ???
  9. Profit.

Happy belated birthday, Nishinoya-senpai.

(ooc: there will be a wrapped box waiting for noya in his room -- it's lightning bolt underwear. you can't say he's not a good kouhai)
keitsukishima: (ugh why me)
Thank you to everyone kind enough not to celebrate my birthday this year. It was quite pleasant. I got a few chapters read for a few of my classes, got started on my thesis for my archaeology final, did extra volleyball practice, worked at the café... all in all a very good birthday.

Except for the fact that when I got back to my room, Akiteru was there with a stupid grin on his face and a big, wrapped box. Idiot brother...

keitsukishima: (concentrating)

Akiteru sent me this video last night with the following message:

Saw this and thought of you, Kei! I know they don't show your favorite dinosaur, but there are some pretty cool ones anyway. Maybe you can go to Mongolia over your next break? That would be so awesome. :D

It was interesting though her voice was annoying, but I wish he would stop acting like I'm ten and still super into things like dinosaurs and fossils. I'm totally still am, but that's besides the point. Stupid, well-meaning older brother.

I wish archaeology was more like this. Don't get me wrong, I enjoy it, but I think if I have/get the opportunity, I'll study to be a paleontologist instead.

Thanks to a swarm of my coworkers deciding to all go somewhere for Silver Week, I managed to pick up a few extra hours at the café. It's been kind of nice not having to listen to all that gossip. I don't really care if Inoue-chan is dating Ishiyama-kun who previously went out with Sano-chan. People get together and break up all the time. Nothing new or exciting about that.

Akiteru wasn't thrilled that I couldn't come home for Silver Week. Technically, I could have, but forgot to ask for the days off in time. My bad. I hope he doesn't try to come here instead. Damn, he's probably already on his way.

And for the last time, the reading of the kanji for my first name is 'firefly'.
